About Jimmie's Ladder 11

Owner Jimmie Brandell started in the restaurant business at age 16. He worked his way up to manager of the Upper Krust Restaurant under his mentor, Jack Rouda. Rouda was founder of Upper Krust Restaurants, well-known for their overstuffed deli sandwiches. Brandell remained in the restaurant & bar business in various capacities over next 25 years.

In 2004 he opened Jimmie’s Cornerstone Bar & Grille at 1001 Brown Street in Dayton. The building traces its colorful history back to the 1860’s. It was a spot known for great bar food and late night entertainment. Jimmie’s Ladder 11 opened on 11/11/11 along Brown Street in Dayton. It is family-owned-and-operated as Brandell’s two sons work in the restaurant.  The Upper Krust influence now shines through at Jimmie’s Ladder 11. A diverse menu offers Upper Krust specialties including hand-cut cole slaw as well as unique appetizers, a wide variety of lunch and dinner options and a delicious assortment of made-from- scratch desserts from the Brandell Bakery.
